Family Support

At Old Moat, we pride ourselves on our supportive community.  You can ask any member of staff for help but we also have a dedicated Family Support Team Mrs  Walsh and Mrs Wikinson.  They are available for all kinds of support to parents who may need help for the whole family:  they are available to offer an Early Help Agreement if required; this a voluntary service where parents take the lead in what support services are required.  The team  will link up with other professionals to get you the support needed at that time e.g. housing connect, Sure Start, health services. Please take a look at the Early Help Brochure.

Do take a look at all the downloads that may be of interest to you. If you have any other suggestions or useful information you would like to share please let us know.

We also have a number of parent volunteers in school who help out with reading, trips etc.  If you are interested, please let us know.

We have a termly parent meet where you can come along and meet other parents and share your ideas for school improvement and gain more insight into the school Community and learning.

Please see Mrs Walsh's letter to parents below:

Dear Parents

If you require support please do not hesitate to call myself or Mrs Wilkinson at the main office or my work mobile which is 07715523945 or email  jwalsh@oldmoat.manchester.sch.uk or mwilkinson@oldmoat.manchester.sch.uk

Should you require a food bank parcel please let me know and I will then issue you with a voucher and share your details with the Food bank before you attend.  During the school holidays you can just go along and give my name to the food bank. (Check out the downloads with the dates and times.)
