Welcome

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Old Moat Primary, a thriving school in the south of Manchester. Children at Old Moat are happy and take pride in their school which plays a prominent role in the local community.

Old Moat is part of the Changing Lives in Collaboration (CLIC) Multi-Academy Trust. Together with our sister schools, we are all committed to making a positive difference to the life chances of young people across Greater Manchester.

My entire career has been focussed around positively supporting the development of young people and I am confident that every member of staff in our school shares this commitment. We intend to walk and talk our motto of, all different, all achieving. I have worked in Manchester primary schools since 2005 and here at Old Moat since 2011. This a truly diverse school that champions the individuality of all of its pupils.

At Old Moat Primary School we aim to provide a curriculum that is engaging, balanced and relevant to our learners. We passionately believe in developing the whole child, nurturing individual talents and fostering a love of learning. During our July 2024 Ofsted inspection, it was noted that, "The school has worked hand in hand with leaders from the trust to design a rich and engaging curriculum from the early years to Year 6. It has meticulously identified the key knowledge that it wants pupils to know in each subject. Pupils develop a rich body of subject knowledge as a result."

Enjoy finding out more about our Outstanding school by browsing our website. Visits are encouraged and welcomed: I would be delighted to show you around our wonderful school.
